It was either merrie melodies or looney toons. It had the line - Here is a Pointer setting or a Setter pointing - ah to heck with it, here is a Pointsetta and cut to a picture of the plant. The cartoon was done in narative form. It also had a dog that was trying to get into the dog show. He said he was 50% setter, 50% boxxer, 50% spitz but mostly he was all Labrador retreiver. The announcer says: "Oh, you are not a Labrador retreiver". The dog replies "well, get me a Labrador and I will retreive it"!! I can't remember the name of the cartoon but I would love to find it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

It was a Looney Tunes Cartoon.....remember the St. Bernard that was sitting on the front porch of his home waiting for his master ? When " Master" got home the dog slapped him around a little and told him to go in there and get my supper....LOL..a classic.

I remember the cartoon, and that it was a "Looney Toon" production, possibly by Friz Frieling. I have no idea what the cartoon name was, nor what the name of the dog's were. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

It is a Looneyn Toons cartoon, the labrador has starred in cartoons with porky as well,but i cant remember the names

I think it was Merrie Melodies that made those. They were my favorite cartoons. There are a few at www.alluc.org. Try searching for free classic cartoons online.
