Can you softmod the Nintendo Wii yet?

I was wondering if anyone had softmodded the Nintendo Wii yet, so they can play burned games?

umm i dont think so but i heard some guy is making a wii loader that u plug in and place on top of ur wii and u can play japenses games and burnt game on it but its illegal
