It is human nature to prefer your own race and culture. Throughout human history, the main source of conflict in society has been caused by diversity (religous, racial, cultural, etc.). This is why it boggles my mind that diversity has become a fad over the past 40 years in white nations. Diversity and multiculturalism are nothing but fantasies in white liberal's (and neocon's) minds. Don't these idiots know anything about human nature or history?

Reasons are numerous, here are a few:
1) most Blacks and Hispanics live in urban, crowded, poverty stricken areas-- congestion in mice studies show that they will begin to eat or kill their young and stop reproducing following a certain point of congestion. The behavior intensifies if resources are limited. The same may hold true with humans
2) poverty often leads people to become more aggressive to obtain goods
3) social learning theory, as suggested above, plays a role... but so does choice
4) evolutionary theory would suggest that some violence is as a result of primitive drives over territory (we see much of this in gang behavior or when minorities move into an area)
5) socialization-- many men are socialized competitively, which breeds some violence
6) It may surface as a reaction to persistent racism and feelings of oppression over time
7) Finally, the person engaging in violent behavior causes violent behavior-- they are not forced into it, it is a choice. My vote has always been CHOICE, with an admixture of other factors, but CHOICE remains paramount. Theories abound, but well documented research suggest that most are unfounded.

Social Learning Theory would suggest that they are exposed to it more so they act out what they see. Statistically, African Americans and Hispanics are living in poverty more than Caucasians. When you live in poverty, you aren't living in the best neighborhoods. So the children see this violence then grow up and begin to be violent and the cycle doesn't end. Part of it is a self fullfilling prophecy that they believe that is all they are supposed to do. THere is a lot of passive racism that suggest those minorities will end up in prision so the children think why should they even try

I'm tempted to believe that Blacks and Hispanics are violent due to their pasts. Blacks were beaten and tortured during slavery and were subject to strong racism around the 50's and 60s. Hispanics come from South America and are usually sitting under a dictatorial government where people are beaten or killed for simply disagreeing with a governmental decisioin. So it's just been sort of adopted. Doesn't help that some whites are racists and are always trying to kill them somehow.

Depends on who you ask. But I would say a combination of dealing with it through out growing up, which is social learning theory. But there are other theories that involve, that because they are frustrated, angry, disappointed about their prejudice they tend to be more violent because of it.

the battle for scarce resources and for some stupid reason poor people always take out their frustrations out on other poor people. For example trailer trash against blacks, irish against italians, italians against puerto ricans, etc.
