*** i DON'T. and my daughter and I were just talkin about this tonight. a girl who just started workin @ the bank w/ me was at the video store tonight when we were there. She's 20...my daughter's 18...and b4 she and i saw each other and b4 she knew who my daughter was she'd given my daughter the dirtiest look...u know the one...the "I'M ALL THAT and you're NOTHING" look. Now I'm sorry, but if you're gonna try and pull off that rude lil attitude i think u need to actually BE all that. my daughter at least has could carry off BEING all that...i'd like to think she's been raised a little better than that tho...this other girl tho is a dyed blonde lil porker who really doesn't need to be carrying on that way. i'm sorry but this is MY daughter she's dissin'! The thing that gets me too is not only would i never treat someone like that, but seriously when u consider what type of job we work at...you'd think the professionalism and courtesy thing MIGHT carry on OUTSIDE the bank doors as well. anyone she meets is a potential customer. like grow up and show some respect.

Four things exacerbate the predisposition for people to act rudely to strangers.

1. Ignorance

2. Fear

3. Insecurity

4. Poor self-esteem

It's because it's a first impression, and they don't know you, and you don't know them, and you have no way to trust them, and they may be mean to you or you be mean to them because you have heard stories, or because that's how a lot of first impressions are. I have a friend, Cory, and I didn't like him at the start of the year, and now we are good friends. First meetings aren't always the greatest cause you know nothing about this new person you just met. You could be to shy and they might think that is annoying, but never judge a person from a first meeting, cause you DON'T know them yet, and you might like them in the end.

I'm reserved and don't like talking to people I don't know. It's not about self confidence. It's about my confidence in not being about to make a good impression. Being more reserved can be considered rude I guess. I don't do it on purpose though.

Well you can openly take out all your anger on them because they don't know where you live and can't come beat you up later. And then there's people like me, overly defensive people who act like such brats to strangers so the strangers won't mess with them, or think about talking to them.

very rarely am I rude to someone I don't know.....even people I do know I am rarely rude.......if someone does something really bad to me, like lied to me or physically attacked me, than I would be rude or violent in response and try to set them straight.....but hey...noone is perfect.....sometimes I get my a** handed to me.
