Your his friend aren't you? Then thats what you say when he says he'll die alone...you're there so there is always at least one person to keep him company. Then you should say that relationships that last take time so finding someone that will be there to the end won't happen in a day or even a week. Tell him to cross that bridge when he gets to it as long as he isn't dying now he doesn't have to worry about dying alone right now and like I said hes got you.

Sometimes I think I'm going to become some crazy old cat lady and end up dying alone, 'cause I've never been asked out and I've never had a boyfriend or anything. I kinda feel the same way as you.... I feel like I'm never going to be good enough for a guy. I feel like I'm never going to be pretty enough to be asked out. But hey, there's no point in complaining, 'cause even if I complain, it's not going to get me anywhere. Although it's hard, I guess I have no choice but to wait for that one guy to notice me and make a move (I'm shy around guys). Don't worry, you won't die alone.

I agree with the person above. He sounds rather emo. If you think he is going to die alone then you should tell him that. If you don't then I think you should tell him that you think he is going to find himself a nice girl/guy. He is just being depressed you should tell him to snap out of it.

That he'll only die alone, and hardly be unique in that, if he insists on being such a downer- because people don't like to be around depressing people.

tell him that it's not true. Suggest him to go on a couple of blind dates and see if it's the right thing for him. If that doesnt work try to cheer him up. If only you two loved each other.... you get the picture.

well you know what i do not agree with anyone above except dottie,
i think you should be careing and tell him that there is going to be people in his life that he likes and they like him back and they could be right there or years away ...or just give him encouragement he will feel better just because you told him that

Hey. first of all. it may be emo. but. no. don't give him that chance. make his life the time of his life. make him see the silver lining. make him see the light. and at all costs, always talk him out of cutting. its not right.

He needs to talk to someone, fast! If they are serious and not just looking for attention, make them get help.

If it's just the two of you , then dismiss yourself and leave. Remind him that he is alone. Laugh maniacally as you leave.
