What is the difference between real love and a strong obsession? Can a strong obsession last 3 years and still be just as strong?

I try to keep myself distant but just when I think I'm succeeding, my mind kicks on and I dream about him.

Well, a strong obsession can be due to love, but love won't come from a strong obsession (lust at most).

My obsessions usually only last six months tops. My love... playing music has lasted all my life... I'm 42. I fall in and out of obsession with it though. I'm obsessed with loving my g/f who will soon be my wife. I plan to feel the same about her as my music.

i'm obsessed with sex... been that way for over 13 years haha ... but with the same person i guess thats up to how you feel for them if you love someone you shouldn't be able to think it could be something else and question yourself.

love and obseeion r really hard to seperate, obession is when u try to always know where he is, what he is doing, who is he hanging with, why he went to places, stuff like that (things u really dont need to know), its like love but at a more dangerous level that can endanger ur friendship with a guy. love is like the same thing but u trust him enough not to need to know all these things. hope this helps!
