Hello,

Are there any websites we consumers can go to file complaints against a business for selling unsatisfactory products or services?

I had bought a bed from Macy's but after a few months I have been having back ache and very uncomfortable sleeping on the bed. I called them but they didnt want to do anything becuase of a small stain on the bed. I had paid around $1000 for the bed. I would like to exchange the it with another one but they are making it hard for me to get it replaced. The bed has a 20 year warranty. How do you recommend I should handle this situation?

Thanks for any suggestions.

If you are having difficulties with someone at the store try talking to either a store manager, or go above that (corporate offices). If you still don't get anywhere try contacting the manufacturer directly. Sometimes they can prompt action from the store when the store alone will not do anything.

Did you pay with a credit card? If so you may be able to get the credit card company to take back that money. It's called a charge back and it's bad on a business (they actually pay a fee on this so they rather not).

If all else fails submit a complaint to the better business bureau and CC Macy's corporate headquarters on this. The BBB will only send a letter to Macy's stating there is a complaint and give them an avenue to respond, but it might get their attention. The BBB will not force Macy's to do anything but it might help.

I hope this is helpful. Good luck!
