I guess you could say that, but not everyone with low self esteem is a mean person. People are mean to others because they feel a need to push themselves up. Of course, being mean is not the only way to make yourself feel good. There are many ways, including just doing sommething productive for yourself. But being mean is seen as the easiest way.

either they're mean because they have low self esteem and they are trying to bring you down to the level they think they are at or they're mean because they think they are great and you are nothing so they don't have to be nice or they're having a bad day or they are just oblivious to other peoples feelings.. There are probably more reasons but I'm tire of trying to come up with them.

Yes. Low self-esteem drives most destructive behavior. It's all about feeling insecure.

I think people that are mean just have a bad attitude about themselves , maybe they have nothing to look forward too .
That could make them have low self esteem . Whats there to look forward to when your always mad .

No, some people are just mean. If you complement a person with low self esteem they are yours!

Yes. I think that they have been hurt somewhere along the line and they are going to get you before you get them. They need to do something to boost their
self esteem, even if it means hurting someone else. Sad isn't it?

Mostly, yes. My sister used to be very verbaly cruel. She and my brother would gang up on me for saying what I think, and doing what made me happy instead of what others thought I should do. Now she is in counciling, and is alot more fun to be around.

yes. they got to make their selves feel good by any means. I think they need to sit their a** down and get a reality check. Its not cool being mean to people cause they wouldn't want nobody being mean to them. and most of them do it to get attention they obviously ain't getting no where else
