My friend gave me a glowing reference for the job she works at and I got the interview and the job now i don't want it

Just tell her its not what you expected & that it isn't right for you. Tell her you'll give plenty of notice before you quit so her boss won't be mad.

During the interview process it is a 2 way street. The company tries to fins a good fit for their position and the prospective employee is trying to find a job that they will enjoy doing (a good fit for them).
You just explain that there are elements of this position that don't appeal to you. Let your friend know how much you appreciate her recommendation. The company can just pick up the phone & call their second choice & offer her the job.
