THERE IS NO GREATER POWER in the world today than that wielded by the manipulators of public opinion in America. No king or pope of old, no conquering general or high priest ever disposed of a power even remotely approaching that of the few dozen men who control America's mass media of news and entertainment.

Their power is not distant and impersonal; it reaches into every home in America, and it works its will during nearly every waking hour. It is the power that shapes and molds the mind of virtually every citizen, young or old, rich or poor, simple or sophisticated.

yes.. this is very important. The media is one of the if not the biggest influence on our society. It is getting better now, but people still tend to believe what they hear or see on television or read in the paper, and that is all that matters.. but now with all the different sources of media, it is getting a little better, but the big media still does have an influence in this country. The most powerful people in the country actually run the media. They got the power and will do whatever they can do to keep it or to make things go the way to benefit them. Its actually scary when you think about it.. they can have so much influence over people...

Obviously. The media is responsible for Bush being in office. If they would put in the headlines everyday how many are dieing for his oil wealth the public would soon wake up. Remember it was the media printing all of the smut the republicans released about Clinton that got him impeached. Instead of answering the republican questions asked by adulterers all, he should have invited them to suck on it. Then there would not have been anything to impeach him for.

If the media were open minded and fair they would be calling for the impeachment of Bush who will go down in history as the worse president and the richest president (ill-begotten oil money) we have ever known. He promised his buddies $5 a gallon gas and he is certainly going to deliver that before he is out of office.

I pray for the souls of all of our dead Americans and their families.
