These numbers are Grundfos reference numbers. as you will see the 15-60 is an electronic variable speed pump as opposed to a standard 15-50 3 speed pump. The 15-60 is a superior self adjusting pump.

The numbers are as specified by Grundfoss, and they refer to the pump specification. It states the pumps performance in possible lift in metres, distance in horizontal pumping at specified temperature and volume circulation per hour. The 15-50 is ok for flats and small houses with not too many rads. For slightly larger places with more rads,a 15 -60 is used.Sometimes a slightly larger pump is used to combat the effects of sludging and corrosion in older systems.

The 15-50 is a standard system pump and the 15-60 is for standard/domestic systems with a grater resistance i.e. longer run and more radiators

I'm puzzled. I'm sure they must be talking about seer rating but I'm not sure how there saying it. If your system is more than a year old and your in a house that was (speck) built then you have what we call a builders model unit. (low end) and its more than likely a 10 seer unit and your compressors shot, if this is the case then what there talking about is when you replace your out door unit you'll have to replace the in door coil or unit if its an air handler to match the out door equipment seer rating witch will now be 13 seer because of the new laws our fearless leaders in congress passed last year.
Hope this helps you out...
