I would be so infuriated if I found out that using the Chinese company was for cost cutting measures. Pet food, especially the brands on the recall, are so expensive. You think you are getting human quality food. A Veterinarian actually warned me about dog food several years ago, so I have always prepared my Pug's food. This has cured a lot of health problems. I have to wonder about 2 cats who died within a month of each other. I hope everyone stops the wet food in pouches and cans. This is a horrific tragedy and Menufoods needs to accept their role in this.

I totally agree. The scary thing is one of the brands is what I feed my cats. I stopped right away and they aren't showing any signs of getting the tainted food. I'd be so upset if something happened to my babies.

we got sick from canned tuna once and when i called the toll-free number on the label to report it, they offered me coupons.
like i could hardly wait to eat another can?
