Many people claiming to be psychics are in fact frauds. But the same can be said about many doctors, lawyers, politicians, salesmen, or people in any other profession. One of the problems with determining which psychics are genuine and which are not is that there are no definitive guidelines for measurement. There are no professional policies or standardized practices to adhere to. There is no established governing body to report fraudulent psychics to.
Unlike other professions which have regulatory or licensing protocols to follow, there are no such standards for psychics. Anyone can call themselves a psychic and begin practising professionally.
Fortunately there are some ways to determine whether a psychic may be misrepresenting themselves. A professional psychic relies heavily on reputation. A psychic with a bad reputation soon becomes a former psychic looking for a career change. If you are considering paying for the services of a psychic, ask for references and testimonials of satisfied clients. If a psychic is reluctant to provide such information it may be wise to search elsewhere for psychic services.
The best regulation of the psychic industry is word of mouth advertising. Frauds and con artists gain a bad reputation very quickly these days. A psychic with confidence in their abilities will have no problem with providing this information. Do your homework, ask others with an interest in psychics who they would recommend.
One thing to watch out for is anyone, psychic or not, who tries to use fear, intimidation, dis-empowerment, uncertainty, doubt, or any of a range of similar tactics to get you to hand over your power and fork over your hard earned money.

Scientific reports are carrying on with regarding psychic capabilities.. Both the USA and the previous Soviet Russia have been walking mystery methods in the course of the bloodless struggle. The lame atheist common sense that a few have published on right here.. naturally suggests their lack of knowledge. Below is a hyperlink that lists paranormal study corporations

We are all born Psychic every baby born has an inflated Pineal Gland around the age of 7 upwards the Pineal Gland starts to deflate, and then the third eye closes
For some it does not and therefore are very Psychic and the Third eye is open to see : )
Types
Clairaudience, Clairvoyance, Clairsentience
In life we are all different therefore we will all perceive or be sensitive to energy differently and there are four ways to interpret an incoming thought, pattern or energy. Most of us will perceive primarily by one and partially by the other three.
Clairaudience - Intuitive
This is a person who will pick up a thought and hear it. This persons mental or intellectual understanding is very important and they can make good leaders. We all know someone that we would say was a mental person, always having to understand mentally. They carefully think things through. If this person were to become enlightened they would have the ability to become a medium, someone who channels information from entities who have passed over, because their most heightened sensitivity is to hear.
Clairvoyance- Visionary
This is a person who will pick up a thought and see it. This person has the ability to transform a thought into a vision, symbol or in colour by using their mind's eye. If an artist, a decorator, a creative person, someone who mainly uses the right side of their brain were to become enlightened they would have the ability to read auras, our chakras, draw guides and this is how they would channel what they received because the ability to see images is their most heightened sensitivity.
Clairsentience - Prophetic (1)
This is a person who will pick up a thought and just knows it. This person is sensitive to precognition and has hunches, dreams and knowings and this person usually deals with the future or present and how it will affect another. If you were to meet an enlightened Prophetic you would be able to get some information about your 'line of probability', tomorrow is not set in time remember. This could be a person who has a dream about something and that dream turns out to happen in reality. They have the ability of prediction because they 'just know' and can tune into and understand their hunches.
Clairsentience - Feeler (2)
This is a person who will pick up a thought and transform it immediately into a feeling. This persons life can revolve around how it feels to them. Their sense of touch is well-developed and they have the ability to know people by feeling what they feel. After enlightenment, this is someone would have the ability to practice psychometry. The ability to put something belonging to someone in their hand and read the energy. Depending on their other gifts, they could tell the past, present or future from the energy. They have the ability to feel how others feel but only on the emotional level. They will be able to not only empathise but experience their pain, loss, grief etc. For instance, if they were to channel energy from a persons past life they would experience the pain and hurt that that soul experienced in that past lifetime.
And Yes I have many times I go to a Spiritual Church and it is a part of the service that we get a reading from a Medium
So if you are interested do a Google search for Spiritual Churches in your area and go and see what it is like for yourself.
Nothing in life is to be feared. It is only to be understood.
Love & Blessings

It seems to me that if they were really good at what they did they'd make perfect investments and be extremely wealthy, have beautiful houses, wonderful famlies, and probably be able to be this country's best President ever.
But, then again I'm sure the one that is in the run down shack that wants your 5 bucks isn't really in this life for fortune, fame, happieness, or feeling like they can put their gift to be beneficial to mankind.
Please use your brain.

This is something that can be tested. Do a search for independent test under controled conditions.
Below is a explaination about the pineal gland.
Pineal Gland
The pineal organ is small, weighing little more than 0.1 gram. It lies deep within the brain between the two cerebral hemispheres and above the third ventricle of the spinal column. It has a rich supply of adrenergic nerve fibers that greatly influence its secretions. Microscopically, the gland is composed of pinealocytes (rather typical endocrine cells except for extensions that mingle with those of adjacent cells). Supporting cells that are similar to astrocytes of the brain are interspersed.
Pineal Gland Functions
Hormones
The pineal gland contains a number of peptides, including GnRH, TRH, and vasotocin, along with a number of important neurotransmitters such as somatostatin, norepinephrine, serotonin, and histamine. The major pineal hormone, however, is melatonin, a derivative of the amino acid tryptophan. Melatonin was first discovered because it lightens amphibian skin, an effect opposite to that of melanocyte-stimulating hormone of the anterior pituitary. Secretion of melatonin is enhanced whenever the sympathetic nervous system is stimulated. Of greater interest, however, is the fact that secretion increases soon after an animal is placed in the dark; the opposite effect takes place immediately upon exposure to light. Its major action, well documented in animals, is to block the secretion of GnRH by the hypothalamus and of gonadotropins by the pituitary. While it was long thought that a decrease in melatonin secretion heralded the onset of puberty, this hypothesis cannot be supported by studies in humans. It is possible that the pineal contains an as yet unidentified hormone that serves that function.
Melotonin is the only hormone secreted by the pineal gland. (The pineal gland is a tiny endocrine gland situated at the centre of the brain.) Melatonin was discovered in 1958 by Aaron B. Lerner and other researchers working at Yale University. Melatonin is produced in humans, other mammals, birds, reptiles, and amphibians. It is present in very small amounts in the human body.
Melatonin was previously known to cause the skins of amphibians to blanch, but its functions in mammals remained uncertain until research discoveries in the 1970s and '80s suggested that it regulates both sleeping cycles and the hormonal changes that usher in sexual maturity during adolescence. The pineal gland's production of melatonin varies both with the time of day and with age; production of melatonin is dramatically increased during the nighttime hours and falls off during the day, and melatonin levels are much higher in children under age seven than in adolescents and are lower still in adults. Melatonin apparently acts to keep a child's body from undergoing sexual maturation, since sex hormones such as luteotropin, which play a role in the development of sexual organs, emerge only after melatonin levels have declined. This hypothesis is supported by the fact that children with tumors of the pineal gland often reach sexual maturity unusually early in life, presumably because the pineal's production of melatonin has been hampered. Melatonin also seems to play an important role in regulating sleeping cycles; test subjects injected with the hormone become sleepy, suggesting that the increased production of melatonin coincident with nightfall acts as a fundamental mechanism for making people sleepy. With dawn the pineal gland stops producing melatonin, and wakefulness and alertness ensue. The high level of melatonin production in young children may explain their tendency to sleep longer than adults.
In mammals other than humans melatonin possibly acts as a breeding and mating cue, since it is produced in greater amounts in response to the longer nights of winter and less so during summer. Animals who time their mating or breeding to coincide with favorable seasons (such as spring) may depend on melatonin production as a kind of biological clock that regulates their reproductive cycles on the basis of the length of the solar day.
