Hi,

If you are using Adobe Photoshop, there are several ways.

One way is to select the area you want greyscaled and while selected, apply desaturate (or the effect) to it:
- select area w/ marquee, magic wand, lasso, etc.
- invert selection if needed
- apply desaturate (Image -> Adjust -> Desaturate) or (shift-ctrl-U) or whatever effect you want.

Another way is to create a copy of your image on a new layer (on top of your current layer), make that top layer grayscale, and then erase the parts you want in color which will show through from the bottom layer.
- duplicate layer (Layer -> Duplicate Layer)
- desaturate it (Image -> Adjust -> Desaturate) or (shift-ctrl-U)
- select your color areas and hit delete, or use the erase tool.

There are tons of ways of doing this. If you are using a different program, you can probably do something similar. Good luck & have fun! :)

If you import it into PAINT SHOP PRO program, under "COLORS" you will find "GRAY SCALE" with it's many options.

You may obtain a FREE copy of this fantastic program by going here:
