You probably purchased the recently released 30th aniversary SACD. (SuperAudioCD) you may have issues playing it on your computer depending on the player or drive you have, but if I recall, it is a hybrid disc, or dual layered, one layer for CD, a stereo mix which should be able to play on most cd players and a multi-channel layer which can be played through a SACD player. My guess is your drive is confused by the dual layers and can't read either.

Wash it w/ luke warm water and dish detergent. If that doesn't work, look at the reverse side of the cd and check under the light to see if it's scratched, if it is, use some tooth paste to rub in the creases of the scratches, good luck.

It might have one of those stupid computer CD locks on it. Try playing it in your stereo. If it still doesn't work, return it.

It might be a SACD (Super Audio CD), for that you need SACD player.
