The shipping alone will cost you the 30.00. You to remember these a live goods and require overnight shipping. Your better off going to your local petstore and asking them to do a special order for you. If its a chain like Petco or Petsmart, they get live goods in weekly so it should be an easy task.

First off you never want to buy fish online NEVER. most of the time they are sold around 6 dollars each and about 40 dollar shipping plus they almost always come dead or sick/ammonia poisoned. what you wanna do is look for small privately owned fish stores (not chain stores like petco) around your area. Also i have found through my years of experience, asian fish store owners usualy are more experienced and have a lot larger variety.
And also i cant see why you would want to keep shrimp which are boring if you want to have a perfect tank on a 50 dollar budget (asuming you already have a tank) do the following.
1-instead of using gravel use freshwater sand which looks more elegant then gravel and allows for plants to be put in nicely.
2-buy 3 or 4 bamboos (made for water) which cost around 1.99-2.99$ depending on your area and burry the roots under the sand(dont remove the roots from its container)
3-But in 7 or 8 large aquarium rocks (usualy oval or circular with a blue or greyish color)
4-next for a choice of fish i would recomend buying 1 chocolate pleco (redish orange colored) and a couple neon tetras if you like calm surroundings or a Red devil/flower horn if you love having intelligent fish that will recognize you and get excited when they see you.

I have bought several fish and many corals from these guys...as well as tons of equipment from their other site. Great service and good prices. All fish are shipped at some point...be it to the store or to a distributor or to you. You just have to buy from the right places.

They have a few freshwater shrimp on there now...but the site is updated very frequently.

I tried to get pet shrimp online and it was a nightmare, no luck for me yet. Everyone wants to sell me $20 worth of shrimp and run me for $40 in shipping.
