$1,000. I would spend half on things for you and half on things for me.

Now that I am an adult, there never seems to be enough money for me to "allow" myself to just spend.

But, back when I got an allowance from my parents, it was really just $10 a week that I was supposed to use to buy lunch at school. I would always get a candy bar and a soda from the vending machines for $1, and then by the end of the week, I would still have $5 to save up for something better... like my first car.

Hello. Well, it would depend if it would also have to pay for my apartment, food, electric bill etc. Assuming it's not, I'd make my allowance to be around $100 a week, and I'd spend it on taking day trips to Cincinnati, Columbus, or a overnight stay in Indianapolis and go shoot film. I'd eat out more often, see movies more than 1 in months and months and the like. If I could save up 5-7 week's worth, I'd head up to NYC and visit a Jamba Juice for a smoothie and also check out The Bag Man. Peace!

My husband gives me $ 1,800 so I feel like I have some freedom. I don't spend it all. I try to save as much leftover cash as I can. (I pigeon hole it away in my jewelry boxes) On what? My housekeeper once or twice, beauticians, some shopping not much. I am kind of boring and don't travel. I can't think of anything else. I bank the rest but worry it won't be enough someday. I don't think you can save "Too Much" money. You never know the future for certain.

Wow, if I were to recieve a weekly allowance, I would hope that it would be very big. Unfortunately, those days are far behind. I think that I would have to spend it on paying bills. I know that is very boring, but you have to do what is needed.

A few thousand anyway. Mother of 3 I would finally be able to afford to feed my kids fruit and veggies instead of pasta. That's expensive. I could put the one in karate, all three in skating lessons, the other in violin, one in art class, horseback riding lessons, archery for the other, and of course our weekly trip to Chucky Cheese. Then after all that I could afford to pay someone else to haul the kids around to their lessons. hee hee

I give myself $100 a week. It covers lunches, coffee, clothes, craft supplies, any other treats for myself like flowers or a night out.
