It's probably a stupid question, but how do I find out the complete path of a music file on my computer in order to embed it into my site? The file is on my computer, I want to embed it onto my site so that it plays when the page is loaded. What steps do I need to take? if it's on my pc, what do i type into this line?

Thanks ahead of time for any input !

Hi!
First you will have to upload your sound file to a hosting website. This will allow you to put it on a site.
A good site for this is:
http://www.geocities.com
All you need for this is a yahoo email address and to register to geocities for free.

once you do this,
-click the manage tab
-click file manager
-click open file manager
-there should be buttons that say:
new - edit - copy etc...
click the one all the way to the right that says upload files
click browse
find your sound file and upload it
go back to file manager.
There should be a file that has the name of your sound file
If you click view, it should bring you to the sound file's new website
this website is what you should insert into your
Hope this helps!

You have to upload it to the webserver to embed it into HTML.
Copy it to the same directory the page is in and use src="/musicfile.wav" ...
