Pre-meditated is often used in Law & the sentence will be greater.

For instance if you murder someone & prior to that you purchased a gun to commit the crime, this is pre-meditated,

On the other hand if you had an argument & in a fit of rage you murdered them this would not be pre-meditated

It means " thought about before the event ". So, if you decide to have a McDonald's, and then have one, you have had a pre-meditated McDonald's. If you decide, heaven forbid, to kill someone, then the killing would be a pre-meditated event.

Commiting an act you'd already laid plans to do.For instance, a pre-meditated murder would have been planned beforehand. Manslaughter wouldn't have been.

It means that it was thought of before hand. Like you thought in the morning that you were going to the store and in the after noon you went. Or you thought of committing a crime and a day or two later you did.

preconcieved.

Thought about really hard- concerntrated on really well, before carring it out.

meditate is to stop and think and take hold. This is similar to stopping in your tracks with the rush of passion e.g to kill some one, then carring it out after taking the time to plan, plot and think about it.
