I dont know the name of the song or the artist. Parts of the lyrics goes "On and on and on ..." or "On and on and on again". I believe that is the chorus. I think it might be a male singer, not quiet sure. And i know its not a new song, its maybe a few years old. Please let me know if you know what song I am talking about. Thank you!

Down in Jamaica
They got lots of pretty women
Steal your money
Then they break your heart
Lonesome sue, she's in love with ol'Sam
Take him from the fire into the frying pan

On and on
She just keeps on trying
And she smiles when she feels like crying
On and on, On and on, On and on

Poor ol'Jimmy
Sits alone in the moonlight
Saw his woman kiss another man
So he takes a ladder
Steals the stars from the sky
Puts on Sinatra and starts to cry

On and on
He just keeps on trying
And he smiles when he feels like crying
On and on, On and on, On and on

Well my first time
Is the last time
It can make you feel so bad
But if you know it, show it
Hold on tight
Don't let her say, goodnight

Got the sun on my shoulders
And my toes in the sand
Woman's left me for the some other man
Aw, but I don't care
I'll just dream and stay tanned
Toss up my heart to see where it lands

On and on
I just keep on trying
And I smile when I feel like dying
On and on, on and on, on and on
On and on, on and on, on and on
On and on, on and on, on and on

if its the song you like send me a email i will send it to you

Journey- Don't Stop beliving.
Here are the lyrics:
Just a small town girl
Living in a lonely world
She took the midnight train going anywhere
Just a city boy
Born and raised in South Detroit
He took the midnight train going anywhere

A singer in a smoky room
A smell of wine and cheap perfume
For a smile they can share the night
It goes on and on and on and on

{Refrain}
Strangers, waiting, up and down the boulevard
Their shadows searching in the night
Streetlight people, living just to find emotion
Hiding somewhere in the night

Working hard to get my fill
Everybody wants a thrill
Paying anything to roll the dice
Just one more time
Some will win, some will lose
Some were born to sing the blues
Oh the movie never ends
It goes on and on and on and on

{Refrain}

Don't stop believing
Hold on to that feeling
Streetlight people

Maybe "Method Acting" by Bright Eyes. The On and On part isn't untill the end.

maybe it's

Udo >> Trip To Nowhere

I was born in a backstreet
Where people live a dirty life
Of course it was different most of the time
But it was not my fault

A life in hell
I saw it every morning
Dreams'n'desires
Can't hide myself anymore

I tried to live in heaven
But this dream did not come true
I tried to live in heaven
Next time I'll try to knock on this door again

I've been hunting
Day and night
Oh, I've been losing
Please, hold me tight

Why am I here now
And what can I do
You tell me you're sorry
You know it ain't true

I tried to live in heaven
But this dream did not come true
I tried to live in heaven
Next time I'll try to knock on this door again
You know what I mean

'Cause when you throw in the cards
Life goes on and on
You're on a trip to nowhere
You'd better reach for the stars
Life goes on and on and on and on again

'Cause when you throw in the cards
Life goes on and on
You're on a trip to nowhere
You'd better reach for the stars
Life goes on and on and on and on again

Now I'm taking my chances
Everyday, everynight
You know what I'm talking about, man
No more backstreet life

A life in hell
I saw it every morning
Dreams and desires
Don't hide myself anymore

I tried to live in heaven
But this dream did not come true
I tried to live in heaven
Next time I'll try to knock on this door again
You know what I mean

'Cause when you throw in the cards
Life goes on and on
You're on a trip to nowhere
You'd better reach for the stars
Life goes on and on and on and on again

'Cause when you throw in the cards
Life goes on and on
You're on a trip to nowhere
You'd better reach for the stars
Life goes on and on and on and on again

I made it out of this hell you know what I mean

I tried to live in heaven
But this dream did not come true
I tried to live in heaven
Next time I'll try to knock on this door again
You know what I mean

'Cause when you throw in the cards
Life goes on and on
You're on a trip to nowhere
You'd better reach for the stars
Life goes on and on and on and on again

'Cause when you throw in the cards
Life goes on and on
You're on a trip to nowhere
You'd better reach for the stars
Life goes on and on and on and on again

'Cause when you throw in the cards...

Lyrics

Don't keep me hangin' on a string
Tell me what I feel is no big thing
Don't turn away I'm listening
Over and over again

Don't give me visions to explain
There are no doubts I feel the strain
Of all my senses yearning
Over and over again

Chorus:
Every day I see you
Every day I need you
Every way I breathe you
On and on and on and on again

It's not important to wonder why
What is just is no more to imply
This simple thought repeating
Over and over again

(Chorus)

Imagine all the ways to cope
I close my eyes, that gives me hope
It cures the silence

(Chorus)
