Would this help end the war sooner and on better terms then by not trying or trying half heartedly? Is this a positive way to improve things there that the republicans could sign onto because it would help out the situation for both parties the country and the world as a whole?

I'm not sure...

Republicans have no care for "diplomatic issues"... you hear them constantly say "you can't talk to these people, you have to kill them"

so, with a Republican president (that seems to have a similar attitude)... congress could only do so much (not very much at all in reality)...

while you may be able to drink Grizzly bear milk... it probably wouldn't be worth your time trying to milk one...

we shouldn't waste time on issues that wouldn't make a difference, when other issues may make a larger difference...and don't know if you've noticed all the Republicans crying about it, but the dems are working on a bill that WILL make a difference... already passed in the house...

The Democrats AND Republicans better start thinking about the dire issues here at home. If all of the U.S.'s problems were solved, only THEN should we be worrying about other countries!
