KEEP PLAYING, if you quit you will be wastign those 10 years. Now if you were able to keep with piano for so long, the it is because u really like it.. dont give up!... wish i could play piano..maybe you can teach me. If you make it, and accomplish your goal then you will be proud of yourself.. if not then at least least you know you tried...and i bet you are good at it so eather way u win..lol. good luck with piano!

There's practice and practice. If you want your practice to be easier and more efficient, try using your brain and ears more then your fingers. When you have a precise idea how you WANT something to sound, it will be a lot easier to accomplish.
Of course you should go on, no one ever made a mistake by practicing music, can't hurt. But if you want to become a real professional, slide those 1,5 hours up to 3-4. Sounds terrible, but if you really like playing the piano that time will become your favorite time of every day, believe me. (not to mention that your playing will improve drastically)

I would definately keep at it if you're planning to have a career that deals with music. If you have a passion for the piano, practicing for an hour and a half everyday should be no problem.

Good luck with piano!

being a pianist myself, I've asked my friends the question of should i quit or not a lot. They always reply the same so I'll tell you now what they tell me:
If you love to play piano keep playing. You know you'll regret quitting afterwards, so why do it?
I know practice is tough, but it pays off.

Do you like it?

Are you planning on being a professional?

If you answer no to either of those questions you need to reevaluate before high school. Figure it out so you can get involved with something else if you want.

If you love it, keep playing. Practice is terrible, I know, but the end results are always awesome.

If you love piano, keep doing it. Practice is very tedious, but if you practice, practice, practice, you will end up on top!
