Do it. Relief pitchers like wheeler are really tempramental from year to year and you can always find some good ones on the WW. Delgado is solid, but 1b is so deep, you can probobly find a good replacement on the wire, or cheap in a trade. (you may have another one, but I don't know your roster.) Roberts may be a top 2b, but he is not that much better than several, easily aquired 2b. Look for a Chris Burke type, who is on the WW in many leagues and should put up similar #'s sans steals.

You get back an elite starter who will dominate in ERA, WHIP and K's (wins are too inconsistent to predict on any but the best teams.) You also get an legit great OFer. Jacobs is a decent backup 1b, but I would try to get someone else to start, say, a Connor Jackson type, at least.

Essentially, your trading two 5th rounders (and a scrub) for two 3rd rounders (and a scrub.)

Great deal.

Trade looks good from your end. However, I hope u have a 1st & 2nd base back up. Especially 2nd since that's a thin position. Also Wheeler might be a closer soon since Lidge is very shaky. Jacobs is really not the type of player u want starting on your team

I would take it. Dan Wheeler isn't a great pitcher. Peavy will have a good year, especially in a pitcher's park like petco. Matt Holliday will get plent of rbi's and runs batting in between atkins and helton.

i think you must do it. its so much in your favor. peavy is a top tier pitcher and holliday is a great OF who will put up way better #s than delgado would.

if you have a replacement for wither roberts OR delgado, don't even think, do it.
if you don't have a replacement for either of them, then think about it a little, but i would still do it
if you have replacements for both of them, then you should have done the trade by now

Id go for it, just the Peavy-Wheeler upgrade is nearly enough reason to.

do the trade if u need pitching help but don't do it if u don't have some1 to replace roberts at second
