I've never traveled by train and I hate the plane. I have bad Bloody Mary memories of traveling on a bus to spring break, so my answer would have to be car.

Going by explorer suv to N. Carolina this summmer.
Haven't traveled by train....
one bus trip when I was 12 years old.

Drive if it's not over 5 or 6 hours. Fly if I need to be there fast. Train for local commute...

If I'm in a hurry, plane but if I'm on vacation with plenty of time I would drive. There's so much to see!

I am a very good driver. I have a car and a truck. I used to drive a motorcycle but they don't do much for me anymore.

yes to all but bus (unless it's chartered or part of public system--a rail/subway line is nice too).
you forgot boat, trolley and horse & buggy, all i've done within the past year.
i also hike ... which is just traveling by foot!

Any place I can drive to in a day I do by car, otherwise I fly.
