Take a look at Alfred Hitchcock's classic 1946 suspense thriller "Notorious"--Cary Grant and Ingrid Bergman give marvelous performances and their scenes together are some of the most romantic you'll see.

Liz Taylor and Richard Burton's real life romance was as tempestuous and intriguing as any of the great love affairs that they acted out on the screen. There was no disguising the attraction between the two stars in Cleopatra when the on screen romance blossomed into an affair that grabbed headlines throughout the world.in Taming of the Shrew was equally amazing. It is a tempestuous amusing timeless romp full of passion from humor to downright hatred. Liz and Dick were able to come into the roles in full swing. Amazing.
Spencer Tracy and Katharine Hepburn were the perfect example of life mirroring art as their on screen partnership matched their off screen relationship, which lasted 27 years until Tracy's death in 1967. They made nine movies together - their first screen partnership was in Woman of the Year (1942) and the last was Guess Who?s Coming to Dinner (1967).
Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan revived old fashioned romance in Sleepless in Seattle when their characters finally get together on top of the Empire State building just like in the golden oldie, An Affair to Remember starring Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr. Both players are delightful actors and their chemistry is well paced and entertaining.
Ben Stiller and Cameron Diaz in There's Something About Mary provided some of the most hilarious moments of any romantic comedy - and looked like they genuinely enjoyed doing it too! The prom night fiasco has to be one of the all time movie great scenes. Again, cute chemistry.
Did I leave out Olivia de Haviland and Clark Gable in Gone With the Wind?

I agree! Allie and Noah were adorable, as was Jack and Rose. Both their characters seemed real, and both had a lot of chemistry. I also like Christine and The Phantom/Erik in the movie version of Phantom of the Opera, 2004.
