I get jealous so easily... over ex boyfriends that I dont even care much about, over girls my current boyfriend (who treats me wonderfully, I couldn't ask for better) has dated, even that my sister is more successful than me. Any tips on how to let go of the jealousy and be a little more laid back in relationships?

First, know that a moderate amount of jealous feelings is normal.

I think that as you get older and you experience life in various degrees and levels, you will learn more about yourself and perhaps you'll understand what is really important and what isn't.

I used to be jealous often when I was younger. Now with some age and some grey hairs (ha ha), I've learned that there are more important things in life than worrying about my identity - in comparison to others.

Be yourself. Enjoy your life and try not to worry too much about others.

Good luck :)

i had the same problem and you know what i found out? that the root cause of jealousy is insecurity. my only tip to combat jealousy is simple: accept your flaws and embrace your being. it's a little hard to do especially when you look in front of the mirror and you don't exactly like what you see. so take fun and free personality tests (personality tests do wonders for combatting jealousy as you get to understand yourself more through your own answers that doesn't dictate its wrong or correct. i love tickle tests and tests from glam.com) that would make you understand yourself more through the results. the key to combatting insecurity (the powerhouse of jealousy) is to feel secure about yourself and loving yourself, every single inch of it. and i guarantee you, jealousy would be lowered to a level you have never imagined.

It sounds like you never gave yourself closure on those past relationships. If they were really over, you would not care about that person's love life, you might even find it in your heart to be glad they are finding happiness because at some point you cared about them and so that should make you want the best for them. Try and think of it like that, mentally wish them the best.

You combat jealousy by keeping your cool. Instead of thinking of the things others have, think about the things you have or what your qualities are. I have a best friend who is always jealous of me, but as long as I think of what I have that she does not, I will get over it and be my jolly old self again. Good question, though.

wherein way do you advise? in case you're speaking approximately jealousy over somebody else, i assume you will desire to easily attempt to have a extra physically powerful image of your self and understand that not all and sundry is as fortunate as some and enjoy them for what they are or have devoid of thinking badly approximately your self. in case you're speaking approximately jealousy somebody has for you, i assume you purely would desire to attempt and forget approximately approximately them and attempt to make certain them in a stable way too and understand why they are perhaps feeling a sprint low self-nicely worth perhaps. yet i understand this should be confusing to tolerate.

hmm, it sounds like you lack a lot confidence in yourself, and you need something to boost your self esteem and set you apart from everyone else.... perhaps you can get a new hairstyle to make you look more unique? kind of like coolio or carrot top?

by talking to someone about why you feel as you do, there
a reason that you feel that life is not what you want and every
body is better etc then you.
