I bought a monitor today out of the box from circuit city. Since there was no box I got a discount so I went for it. Anyway I have the cable hooking my laptop up to the monitor and the screen on the monitor says "check cable signal" which I have. Am I supposed to install it or something? I dont have any directions because it didnt come with the box.

A couple of things. Firstly, you might have to select "FN" and "F5" on your laptop keyboard (This normally doesn't vary but check your laptop's manual first). Then, check the refresh rate - select about 60Hertz and work upwards (Do it on you laptop, press FN F5 then if it doesnt work, FN F5 and then reselect a different refresh rate)
