...me wonderwoman because he thinks that I "have the looks and stature of wonderwoman". I need to know from you guys...when you call your close friend wonderwoman, is this a compliment? At first I think it is, but then I'm not so sure, because, well, I never read comics or anything! Also, which wonder woman is he most likely referring to? Would it be Lynda Carter or the doll itself, etc? Sincere answers only. Thank you

I am not a guy but Wonderwoman is definitely a compliment. I think she is a positve figure in all aspects. She is a superhero, a moral and ethical person, beautiful, and also unique in that she is a female superhero. I personally think of Lynda Carter when I hear "Wonder Woman" but the comic was around before the television series and I think diehard comic fans don't think of her first as I would. But to me, she is Wonder Woman incarnate so I would assume to use her as a point of reference in his insistence to call you that.

Im sure its a compliment. THey might just be teasing you but non the less being called wonderwoman is a compliment threw and threw. It just means apparently you have a nice body and can do everything. They might also be jelious and trying to make you mad. Think about if maybe you out did them in somthing that they might have been bitter over.

I wouldn't take this as an insult. He is a friend so he might be giving you the name simply because you are a strong, independent woman who might be able to kick his butt given the chance, like wonderwoman. Wonder Woman is the ultimate female role model in comic books. She's like Superman, he represents the good and strength in humanity and so does she. You would probably like her main tool of choice, a rope that forced people to tell the truth. Now wouldn't that be handy.

Now, I would think it's actually pretty rare that a man nicknames his friend WonderWoman, so I doubt you'll get many answers on here. I think that this is a compliment to you, though, and I suspect he may have a crush on you. Why not ASK him which one he means? While you're at it, why not ask him if he is crushing on you?

It's not offensive. Maybe he likes you and this is his way of showing it, or maybe he is a playful guy. Either way, it certainly isn't a bad thing to be called Wonder Woman. Just smile and enjoy it for what it is and don't try to read into it. We women are the greatest analyzer's ... in fact we over analyze :) So relax ... It's a stepping stone of your life, enjoy it - really.

I wouldn't look so far into it. Just think of the title - wonder. Its definately a compliment. I also don't read comics, but my brother and dad did, and from them I can tell you she was a self-sufficient, independent, strong, modern woman who was, yes, very beautiful.
