Vietnam has no longer been forgotten - neither will Iraq be forgotten. war impacts the folk, besides the fact that, who fought interior the wars and who've/had kinfolk or friends who fought. Its the damm media that would not care. i ask your self how those newscasters can report such atrocities each night with out having jaded. Or are they?? My kinfolk life grew to become into tormented with the help of the two situations in history. With a dad who prevented the Vietnam draft so he does no longer orphan me, and an prolonged lost sweetheart who nonetheless flies decrease backward and forward to Kurdistan. Thank goodness the two a sort of individuals are nonetheless alive - my innovations flow to those that lost plenty from those wars. i think of human beings block it out of their minds because of fact the realities of war are better than maximum can take.

I believe you are young and have only a history book understanding of Vietnam when I was in service at that time. Attitudes such as yours were very hurtful. This Iraq and Iran thing has a much greater impact on your future than mine and you don't even know it. Too much MTV?..

we have allies we are responsible to in the area. If the violence cannot be contained then we have Kuwait and saudi Arabia to worry about. Plus we would be turning our back on those who have stepped up to fight the insurgents. Finally if we lay down and run with our tail between our legs we will be sending message to all the middle east. America has lost the will to fight.

Of course you don't care. You're a Lib. To you, losing is winning. Victims are heroes. The biggest thrill for libs is not accomplishment, but entitlement.

I only care about the people who have died. And sorry guy above, but we DID LOSE VIETNAM. Uh, the North overran the south and we bailed-that's a loss in anyones book. My father is a decorated vet and he'd say the same.

Personally, no, but it will send up a signal to morons like Kim Jong Il, Robert Mugabe, and the thugs in the Sudan that we aren't the superpower we should be.

We can't win or lose. It isn't our war. The U.S. will gain nothing as a result of this war. The myth that we'll be creating stability in the heart of the Middle East is nothing more than propaganda to appease Americans while we continue to waste billions of dollars a day on a war we cannot possibly win.
