Not necessarily because some girls don't get it til they are 17 if they are really active. When your body is ready, it will happen! Now, if you reach 17 and still no periods, then you should discuss that with a gynecologist.

Nope. While most start by 13, there are what we like to call "late bloomers". Usually doctors do not become concerned until your 17. So, don't worry your body is just being a little slow about it.

Now that's luck! I started when I was 12.
You shouldn't be worried - yet. If you don't have it when your about 17 years old, you should go see a doctor.

You should definately go see your pediatrician or OB/Gyn. There are numerous things that could be going on or you may just be a late bloomer. Have you developed any other signs of puberty (breasts, pubic hair, armpit hair)? Did your mom/dad bloom late?

definatly not. Your body works itself out. I got mine at 12 and my best friend at 16. It just happens when your body decides it should.

Be thankful. No cramps, back pain, or dealing with tampons every month!

I WOULD NOT WORRY JUST YET. SOME YOUNG LADIES JUST MATURE AT A SLOWER PACE THAN OTHERS. IF YOU ARE FEELING POORLY OR SOMETHING OF THAT SORT, THEN SEEK MEDICAL ADVICE, OTHERWISE, WAIT A BIT. THEN, IF YOU HAVEN'T STARTED, SEEK ADVICE FROM YOUR LOCAL HEALTH DEPARTMENT. THEY HAVE SOME WONDERFUL NURSES ONBOARD.

don't be worried because some people start their's late. ask your mom to see when she got her's because it is normally genetic.
