Good possibility of baby turning to breeched position. Or you could be having contractions and not knowit and the tightening is what's making your ribs sore and feel like you can't breeth. I carried twins and I litterally hung my belly under my daughters toddler bed, while on my knees and this was the only thing that could relieve the pressure. So lots of time I slept in this kneeling position. Definately not a fun pregnancy. Lucky for you, you're almost done! Good luck.

I remember having a lot of pain and the doctor saying my baby was normal sized. I couldn't eat or breathe.

What I would suggest is taking a measuring tape or a rope and measure from the top to the bottom and check out a size chart which should be on the Internet. When I did that I found out that the doctor didn't know how to measure and that my baby was huge. I was old and lived at high altitude so my baby was supposed to be 5 and a half pounds. Well the babies on either side of her in the nursery were that size but she was a whopping 8 pounds 1 ounce. After she got out, we could both eat again and after the first week, she was then 10 pounds. The doctor thought the scale was broken, but she was the same weight on the second scale. Fortunately the doctor was bright enough to realize that both scales were not broken.

I had to exchange a lot of small diapers for larger ones.

I'm going to agree with everyone else and say that it sounds normal but just to be safe I would make sure you don't have a UTI. I doubt you do but it's best to err on the side of caution when you are so close to having this baby. Good luck hun and everything will get better really soon when you have the little one. Congrats!

Well my oldest kept kicking me in the lungs once she turned and I couldn't breathe. Yes they can get under the ribs, but I would be more concerned with the lack of movement. You are close enough to the end of your term I would be at the hospital asking for a fetal monitor.

Go to the hospital, they will monitor you for an hour. It is possible the baby is pushing on your ribs. It's the lack of movement that concerns me. Eat something or drink water, that will wake him up.

If your baby isn't moving then you need to call your doctor (or the hospital) and get that checked out right away.
