Ideas for well pump 25 ft deep watering 1/4 acre lawn?

I have a well on my land thats about 25 ft deep and would like to pump water for 1/4 acre of lawn. Tried to buy a cheap "shallow well" pump that didnt work. Any suggestions?
I can pipe the thing myself but dont know what to buy. This is for Northern California.

being 25 feet deep its probably a hand dug well and dont produce much water. it will run out of water quickly. if it does fill quickly you shouldnt have a problem with your lawn.
