im only 13 and im all new at this period thing. when i start bleeding, is it normal to have red clumps of tissue come out?

Sure is! Blood isnt the only thing that your body gets rid of during a period. Prior to your period, your uterus lining thickens with flesh, so that a fertilized egg has a suitable place to implant into.
When you dont get pregnant, your body gets rid of the old lining in readiness to make a new one.
So dont worry sweety its normal!

Those may look like clumps of tissue but it's most likely clots of menstrual blood. Yes, alot of women get these. I know it's alarming. Some women get them at different times in thier lives. I didn't start getting them untill I was in my middle 20's I was a nurse working OB-GYN at the time and I thought too that I was passing tissue. So I took them to the hospital to be sure. They were clots.

Yes it's perfectly normal. It's just your body getting rid of the extra uterine lining you get while ovulating. There is nothing to be worried about.

It doesnt matter if your young or not it happens to everyone. I was worried and thought the same thing until my mother told me it was normal.

hey same here !!!im fourteen.....this happens alot to me to ...espeically when the flow is heavy....but theres nothing to worry about..jus a little clot..it happens to everybody almost...well i tink so.....lol
