I've been getting e-mails with the same stupid quizzes/spam/etc... I'm not sure if you've had it before too, but it's geting to the point that it's annoying. i tell my contacts to stop sending me the junk, and they say they hate it too, but they never do anything about it. What am I to do? I can't block them since they're all close friends, but still...

Report them to their ISP.
Sending chain letters is against most AUPs and will result in the user getting a stern warning from their ISP or their service terminated if they get a lot of complaints.

I have friends that do the same... or did. It is important to understand that those emails that you forward, and forward and forward are the greatest sources for SPAM mail as these are all known good email addresses. If your friends keep sending you this stuff you and they both will ultimately get much more spam.
Here is how I handled it. Yes it subjects me to putting my email address out there but most of these things they forward are crap and you can go to one of the many internet urban legend web pages like "http://urbanlegends.about.com/od/internet/a/current_netlore.htm"
Then reply back to all with a related link that basically says that this story is a hoax and you are niave for believing it here is the real deal"". Also point out that these hoaxes are just used to collect email addresses for SPAM mail. Basically after you do this 2 or 3 times the sender gets tired of looking like a complete fool and they will stop. I still have all the friends I have done this too (unless they read this). Basically you are doing them a service by providing them information.

First of all you should open the e-mail which anyone has send to you. Now at the top you can see the email address of the organisation who has send this to you. Just copy the address & the go to options .There you will see an option of Blocking addresses. Just click on it & past their email address & click on block address. Now you will not be recieving any emails from them.

I am SO there with you. One person sends 15 'pass this on if you love Jesus', etc, and THREE OTHER PEOPLE send the SAME thing! (If they'd LOOK on who it was sent to, they'd see it was sent to me in the first place.) I just delete it.

keep sending the crap back to them, I have friends that did that too they stopped once I started sending them everything too. They will get annoyed with it too.

if u read the subject and u see that it is a chain letter then delete it before u even read it.........then u wont have to go through it all and it wont just get sent back
