This is difficult to question answer. The amount of wood that woodchucks would chuck on a given day varies greatly with the individual woodchuck. According to a Wall Street Journal article, New York State wildlife expert Richard Thomas found that a woodchuck could chuck around 35 cubic feet of dirt in the course of digging a burrow. Thomas reasoned that if a woodchuck could chuck wood, he would chuck an amount equal to 700 pounds.*

Some say it depends on three factors:
-The woodchuck's desire to chuck said wood.
-The woodchuck's need to chuck the aforementioned wood.
-The woodchuck's ability to chuck the wood.

Finally, some maintain that woodchucks would not chuck wood at all even IF woodchucks could chuck wood, citing noted wildlife expert Dr. Seuss who claimed he once heard a wood chuck say:

I am Chuck, a woodchuck I am.
I would not chuck wood though I can.
I would not chuck wood in a box.
I would not chuck wood with a fox.
I would not chuck wood in a house.
I would not chuck wood with a mouse.
I would not chuck wood here or there.
I would not chuck wood anywhere.

*The first paragraph is true, the rest was made up by resentful beavers.

We HAD a 8" in diameter tree on the creek bank , that evening after school, there was a wood chuck chomping on it. The next morning the tree was chucked (chewed) off of its stump having crashed the tree over onto the bank. It WAS a nice 30' tree. So I would say 30' tall-8"wide tree==18 hours to chuck that tree down.
