Happened to me. I smiled, showed him my ID and it pretty much cured my depression for the day. The funny thing is, my best friend was with me and wasn't carded and she's 5 years younger than me.

i'm older than that and still get carded, i always say; " thank-you, i'll take that as a compliment, rather than think you're a dumba$$"........... always with a smile......

Honestly, something closer to "b". I used to take it as a compliment, now it's just an annoyance. It happened recently, and my (silent) reaction was, "Oh please, are you serious?"
