Don't start disliking them just because he doesn't hit the high notes as live shows... think about it...

He's a guy and, compared to most guys, he already sings pretty high in some parts on their albums. During a show you're walkin around and jumping, and you don't have the breath you do when you're singing in studio, so it's harder to sing really high. And like other people said, he can sing a song over if he doesn't hit the notes right in studio, and when you're singing live you only have one chance.

How exactly do you begin to dislike a band you don't want to dislike? And come on, live is way different from the studio...

studio magic. he probably does a ton of takes until it sounds right just like most bands. their are a lot of bands that are kind of disappointing live, smasing pumpkins is another example, billy corgan cannot sing in tune at all live). i don't usually like live bands too much because of that. Just enjoy the album. who cares if he can't always hit high notes like mariah carey or something? the songs are still the same songs and the music is still the same music. and hey at least they don't lip synch!

He sings the high notes in the first chorus!! I was so happy when I watched it.

because when he records it in studios, he can try over......and over.......and over.........AND OVER again until he gets it just right.Dont worry about it.Every band somewhat sucks during live prformances.Except linkin park. For some reason they are really good live.

Probably because he can't actually hit the high notes, and he uses studio tricks for the recordings.

Gerard Way sounds terrible on MTV, so why should he sound any better live and in concert? Lmao.
