What is the difference between the electric shower and the power shower?

Regular house pressure is what all showers run off of. Don't know what the hell the neighbor is talking about. No one has an electric shower, unless they are on a spring fed system, or something.

You have an existing hot and cold water line running to the shower, put whatever faucets and head on it you want and you'll be fine.

an electric shower is an instantaneous shower. It needs a mains pressure water supply (like the cold tap on your kitchen sink) and heats the cold water like a mini boiler. It will usually need a 45 amp electricity supply from your fuse board which means running a heavy cable (10mm) from the fuse box to the shower unit. A power shower takes hot and cold water from water storage. It has a pump built into the unit to increase pressure. Also it does not need a heavy cable (3 amp usually). If you have a hot water cylinder in your airing cupboard this would be the better option

if you use gravity there wont be much power for a shower. it will act like a water tower. The higher the water stored the more pressure you have. if your water supply to your boiler is 15 PSI or more you shouldnt have a problem. does your sink down stairs have good pressure? if so then your shower will too.

if your hot water comes from a boiler upstairs it is very unlikely that your shower will work be it a standard shower or power shower. these types of shower have safety mechanisms built into them and will shut down if the water pressure comming in is too low.you need to talk to a plumber before committinf to buying any type of shower as i think it is unlikely to work.good luck anyway

if your boiler is a combi which it sounds like, there's no reason why you cant run a thermostatic mixer shower off that with more than satisfactory results.
