Did you try rebooting the router and the notebooks? What channel are you using? It could be interference. Most wireless routers default to channel 1, 6 or 11, so if there are other networks nearby they could be interfering. Cordless phones usually start at channel 1 and switch channels to get a better signal if necessary. Microwave ovens put out interference mostly on channels 7-11. If the disconnects happen when the phone or microwave is used or when people get home from work, that's a clue. I find channel 4 works well in most cases. And remember to change the default SSID and router password and enable WPA encryption on your network.

there will be a reset button on the back, press and carry it until the lighting fixtures on the front start to flash, this might wipe the router and reset it to production unit defaults. To log in and alter the settings plug your pc into the router by making use of ability of ethernet cable and flow to 192.168.one million.one million on your browser. it is going to ask for a username and password this router could be a clean username and the password: "admin" or the username and password could be: "admin" you are able to google it to double verify. From there you are able to flow to prompt settings and setup your community, choosing a SSID and password. And that must be all you incredibly want, you are able to mess around with different settings yet be careful or you will ought to reset it back.

Power cycling (reset) your modem and router will fix your problems. Turn off both modem and router by unplug the power cord. Wait a few minutes, plug in modem first, wait for modem to be ready, plug in router. Turn on your pcs and the router will be detected by the router. Sometime the dhcp process release/renew of your ip adresses will cause your pcs to lost connection with the router.
