Go to the Federal officials and sing like a bird. You'll get off easier when the body is eventually found.

I know what you mean, the same thing happened to me last winter. There's really only a couple of things to do. First, did you bury he body in a good spot that isn't going to be found easily. If not, find the stupidest guy in town and have him go and move it. If the Feds are watching, then he'll be the only one in trouble, and everyone else can just blame it on him and act like they don't know what's going on.
The other thing to do would be if there are only one or two Feds actually hanging around, and they seem to be finding things out, then get the town together and take care of them, but make sure to get rid of all of there notes and stuff too. Then go to the next town over, in the middle of the night and bury them there. Then, call the Feds and give an anonymous tip that the people in the other town have been acting really weird and didn't like the Feds around, then they'll get into trouble and not you guys. Hope this helps.

Be up front and go to the authorities with this information. Looks like the entire town is guilty by the cover up. Be honest civilians and do the right thing. That man was someone's husband, father, brother, uncle, nephew. Put yourself in his families shoes!
Can't believe the entire town held a meeting and decided to bury this man and keep quiet about it. Unreal!!!
Why are you all so nervous? Did someone in fact murder this guy and you all are covering up the murder? If you are not guilty, what's there got to be nervous about?

I don't believe you. That is the stupidest thing I have ever heard! The Sheriff has a responsibility to report this! To cover something like that up is crazy! What would be the reason?
If for some ridicules reason this is true, did anyone consider the poor man's family? How would you feel if someone did that to a loved one of yours???

Sounds like a movie plot - go to the authorities (the Feds in this case) and tell them everything you know. In real life the sheriff should have been checking out all the missing persons reports, among other things, in order to find the identity of the deceased.

You owe it to the victim to report it. Reporting it yourself will just make it easier for you down the road.
Make sure to let them know that the sheriff knew about it, and blame him for the coverup if possible.

Best thing to do is to tell them how your dog is on life support and you are in this big marble eating contest.
Tell them how your wife to be is fooling around on you and you are waiting for that cash from your uncle in Nigeria...
Come on with the silly stories, if you have legit questions, ask them. If you are writing a book, write it and get on with it, but quit pretending...
Check out all the questions he is asking.. He is playing with ya all!
