I called directly to the county office. The department of family services. I do believe they set up an appointment for me and I met with a case worker, filled out my forms, and was approved right away. I would just call to find out exactly what to do! Good luck!

Medicaid is a federal program run by the states. You can look in any telephone directory and they will give you thee place you can apply.
Unless you are a single parent with no job, and few resources (a car worth of 1,500 will disqualify you).
Financial assistance is limited to 5 years, per life time for single parents.
The elderly and the permanently and totally disabled can qualify for Medicaid!
Md's don't generally take Medicaid patients as the governments payment for service usually less than the cost of the paperwork! Hospitalizations are different.
Anyone who excepts Medicaid has to accept what the government pays !
Medicaid covers pulling teeth, but not fixing them, but then only if they are abscessed!

Go to a public hospital and ask to speak with a Social Worker. Ask the Social Worker to assist you.

I would suggest you go down to your local Department of Children and Families (DCF) department. They can explain everything to you.
