It was one part lies, one part wishful thinking, and one part bad info. This war was primarily Bush's fault. I would say 85% his fault. But you really don't expect a republican conservative to take responsibility do you ?

Mostly bad information. not all though. Bush does have to take part of the bame along with Blair and especialy Clinton. The UN ad its people were also very wrong in the way they handled things.

It comes down to so many blundres from so many different places. The truth was very difficult to find.

One real factor was an Iraqi defector from the government there claiming to know where and what the WMDs. It was proven later after everything got messed up that he was actually a plant by the samam secret service.

So many mistakes made and still are being made.

Now the democrats are well on the way of making huge mistakes themselves.

Well, I doubt your serious so here is the short answer:

The documentation that he AND CONGRESS use to go to war came from the CIA, UN, Russia, France, Germany and the UK. All unanimously sad he had WMD's.... Also, he said he did....

So, for all of you Bush bashes........ he acted on information from numerous sources.... it was not a cowboy run...

Either way, it doesn't matter. He either lied or was criminally negligent in leading this nation into something as serious as this war without being 100% positive there were WMDs to be found. And you can't say he WAS positive; otherwise, we'd have found the damn weapons.

My guess is lied, because if the CIA had bad info we are so screwed. Our troops just do what they are told to do.
