Congratulations on looking young! It may be that those American friends you have run into who seem older to you, have smoked, gotten too many tans, had no time to exercise or eat right during the busy years of raising families. Aging is an individual matter, so it's hard to know why or to generalize.
My grandmother, who was of Scottish descent, was a beauty with smooth fair skin and roses in her cheeks, into her 80s. Some people are lucky that way.
Good luck and long life to you.

I JUST asked my guy that today!!! We were watching tv about other cultures. America: BAD food, stress, $$$$ or you are toooo poor, weather, maybe family genes, drugs etc. I could go on and on comparing countries around the world. Not many coutries do fare well. The Asian people know how to eat right, religion, yoga etc. etc.I'm jealous.

I'm sure it's just genetics and basic things like not being in the sun and eating better. Not all Asians age gracefully and not all white people turn into prunes at 40. Some black women seem to defy age altogether. It's just good genes.

All has to do with factors such as oil content of the skin, elasticity, weight gain and or loss, diet, stress levels, health issues, etc.... doesn't matter what RACE you are at all - that's one of the most conceited racial comments I've heard - "I'm Asian, beautiful, my American friends look like crap". JEEZ!!! I can just imagine the crap I would get if I said something like that - - - how nice it is of you to notice others flaws and put yourself above them cos you are "Asian"... gack!!!!!!

I think this question/statement is completely rude.. YOU are shallow and self centered and does your friends know you are talking crap about there looks? heck of a friend you are...You questions is also blah, you are a different race yeah then why compare yourself to other races? Compare yourself to yours... I am sure we all have differences in our lifes too, you may eat rice, i eat fast food.. I work stay at home, you work hard.. everyone is different as for the way they age...

We tend to not take care of our bodies until later in life, are for me that is what I have seen with myself and others. Sunning, to much fast food. Plus we tend to have more stress level than most any other country. Why is beyond me. Also it also has to do with the makeup of your heritage. Blacks don't age as fast as white women do. Something in the pigment of the skin.
