okay, so we know that Huet is recovering and he might be back sooner than we would have imagined. what is carbonneau to do? As soon as Huet is well enough to play should he goal for the canadiens or should he let Halak goal? Can Halak lead us to the playoffs?

Oh, I don't know. Your starting goalie or your AHL goalie who just happens to be better than your back-up. If they were to even consider Halak then Gainey might as well just fire himself right now. BTW, Halak does not have great numbers in the NHL. Huet does seem to put up some good numbers. No brainer.

Halak is getting used to the NHL, and his improvement since his first few games is giving him confidence to play at this new level, but he's not "the one" to get Montreal to the playoffs. Huet's return shouldn't be pushed too fast either, but as long as Halak is getting the job done, it gives Huet the time he needs to both heal and get back to playing shape. Goaltending is a very difficult position, one that is both very physically demanding and very technical in how you read the play, the players and the styles of play different teams use during power plays or shorthanded, as well as 5 on 5.

Halak is playing great for us, but when Huet does come back he will practise and they will see if hes ready to play. if hes healthy enough he will get the start for the Habs. Huet has been Montreal's top player the last two years and hes are #1 goalie even if Halak is having a great go in goal.

Brandon …>>>have you heard of Carey Price well his are future, hes the best player not playing in the NHL.

Huet is the best choice just because he has more experience than Halak. He has been tested throughout the regular season and at the end of last season.

what are you talking about Halak is on fire!! We are now on a winning streak...finally! He's a great goalie with quick reflexes, hardly any rebounds and can get up quickly after a save. I find he's much better than Huet or Abeisher.

Must go with Huet. He's more experienced and he was the starting goalie. Halak will be the backup - if he can continue his good run.

HALAK the habs hve been winning game lately because halak has been very solid in net and latendresse is stepping up as a forward. Halak has already adjusted to the NHL and will be ready 4 the play-ofss which the habs better get in and they hve a good chance of making it until they playe the devils

All-famous guy or woman goalie Huet for confident. If he gave up a pair goals in that third era i might say Halak yet Huet stopped each little thing and gets the prospect to make or ruin the Habs' playoff hopes. the two way if Montreal loses they're gonna question themselves the excellent off season.
