Ok, ok, ok. I think we all get the idea that some of you out there in Q & A land don't like or have rather low opinions of specific ethnic groups. Whoopie, yea, like who really gives a frog. Caucasian this, Black that, Hispanic this, Asians that. Give it !@#%%*&@!@!!? rest already! I don't encounter nearly as much hatred and blatant racisim in "real" life as I do here on Yahoo Q & A. If you're that miserable, get drunk and pass out on your couch. Maybe you'll wake up hours later with a hangover and a brand new attitude to match. Comments are welcomed.

I know that this is an open forum, but some of the questions related to race are past ridiculous.

Wickedly, you're right. Freedom of speech. But honestly, could you stand to see something like "hate" being posted and not say something? Does it help? Probably not. I make no apologies for the way I fee, but that type of behavior gets under my skin and pisses me off to no end. It's an insult to humanity!

Amen!

Unfortunately you cannot stop them. They are using (misusing) their Freedom of Speech and the anonymity of the internet to spew their filth.

I imagine that 99.99% of them would not dare to spew their filth to someone face to face. I imagine they just drop their heads and pout. Maybe they mutter something under their breath about the person so they can feel, to themselves, that they "told that (whatever) off".

Then, they come onto the 'net and spew garbage because they are impotent cowards.

------

Edit: let me take a flying guess. I was thumbs downed by a racist because I called them impotent cowards.

Thankyou for the compliment. :)

Yeah this behavior really gets under my skin, but it makes me feel better when I realize that the people who say these things probably wouldn't say it to a real person. I'm sure the white people on here who say racist comments are probably pretty whimpy and the black people are just getting back at them for what they said. But seriously, just because a couple of white people said this or a couple of black people did that does not say anything about the group as a whole. I'm tired of being accused of hating black people just cause I'm white. I really don't give a crap what color anybody is, I just don't want to hear arguments anymore. It makes people seem so uneducated and narrow minded.

I'm always of divided opinion about what's posted here, when it's an expression of ethnic, religious, or cultural bigotry. Is it that people, under the guise of anonymity, reveal their true selves? Are there just a lot of children here who get a thrill out of doing something "naughty"?

Is it just people trying to stir up krap?

I don't know.

When I entertain the idea that this is what people are really like, I get very sad, and it's hard to hold on to any hope for the human species.

But then I remember that things could be FAR worse - I could BE one of those people.

Keep on keeping on.

It's a free world ( well most places anyway). If someone wants to ask about race then they will. It is up to you as a person not interested in the topic to be able to just ignore that question and move on to the next. I read the headline of the text and if I'm not interested I don't bother reading the rest.

Problem solved.

You said it quite well, and I totally agree with you.

Maybe if those of us who are offended by the racist questions or do not agree with the stereotype presented, if we did not respond, that might take away some of the "fun" they are having.

I believe that many of the racist comments are deliberately made to evoke comments from people who do not agree with them.

nice point, but this is a place where people can ask questions they wonder about. thats not accepted in society to ask in person. people can state their mind and opinon without people hated in real life. if you dont like it (not u, everybody) then dont read it!

there's more racisim on here than i face in real life, i think i know why, because in real life no one has the balls to say racist shyt to someone's face without swallowing some teeth , so yeah , on here they all have a big mouth but they dont walk the walk like they talk the talk

Agreed. People who air their racists views on here are cowards and ignorant and wouldn't express these same views when they're out in the real world among people of other races.

LMAO- I'm glad someone finally said that
but on the other hand wether you like what they have to say or not, it's their right to speak their mind same as the rest of us
not because the American constitution says so, but as a human right that all share on the internet. :)
