It's a fact that evolutionary ideas constantly change but the bible has remained the same and is able to explain all areas of life plus has 100's of detailed prophecies that have come true down to the smallest detail. Any informed evolutionist could not deny that modern science arose from a biblical foundation, but people would rather choose mans word over God's word. The bible says that we are without excuse when we stand before God. No excuse. Stop and think about it. It doesn't matter what you believe. What matters is that what you believe is true. 100 out of evey 100 people die. We are a breath away from eternity. We are without excuse when we stand before God. We should look at all the evidence. If we look at the evolutionary side, then we must also give creation a fair investigation as well. We shouldn't gamble with our eternal lives without studying all the available facts.

Because it is a SCIENTIFIC theory, and all theories in science are falsifiable, meaning that they can be disproved by experiment, but NONE can EVER be proved. There are now tens of thousands of fossils, and a plethora of DNA evidence in support of evolutionary theory. The bible states that the sun stopped in the sky, that Eve was created from Adam's rib, that people lived several hundred years, and that some returned from the dead, as well as one walking on water. Even the Roman Catholic church is accepting evolution. The Fundamentalist christians, mostly in the USA's bible belt, are the only real holdout left. I fear that there is little hope for people such as yourself, who have closed their minds, to ever achieve any real understanding of how we came to be here. You have been told, and have accepted that anyone who says anything different that that which appears in the bible is an agent of satan and is going to hell, and that you will also burn in the eternal fire, if you waver in your faith. How sad, not only for you, but probably for your children as well! You remind me of those deaf people, who, on having deaf children, want to bring them up using hand signing only, rather than provide them with cochlear implants at an early age, when they most easily learn.

It is presented as the only logical scientific explanation of our physical bodies. It has nothing to do with religion or if there is a sole. The evidence that evolution has occurred on the Earth is nearly irrefutable. The age of fossils have been demonstrated by relative concentrations of radioactive isotopes and the compounds that they from. The compounds they form would not be found in the same crystals as the original compound before it decayed. The results have been confirmed by several different isotopes. There is no reasonable doubt that the ages of fossils as essentially correct. The age is also supported by geological evidence and DNA evidence as well as other arguments. When you get only primitive life existing before 600,000,000 years ago and life gradually changing over time, that is evolution. That is what the fossil record suggests. You could argue that it is not due to natural selection, but I don't get the point.

I don't think anybody would suggest that humans have been on the planet that long. Personally, I am a deeply religious person, and I know from personal experience that there is something beyond us that cares about us. I don't however subscribe to notions that denial of science will get you into heaven. (sorry to paraphrase that) I accept that I am not equipped to understand the nature of the universe beyond my experience.

The bible has changed so many times over the years. If you read the eraly version i doubt you would even recognise it. It used to contain reincarnation and everything. The church just edits it whenever they feel like it to stop people thinking too much. Its a little harder now, but back when there were like 10 copies they did it all the time.

As for evolution there are enormous amounts of proof. Including:

Transitional forms, which show a gradual change in life forms over millions of years. e.g. Therapsids; mammal-like reptiles with a jawbone between reptiles and mammals. They were warm-blooded (like mammals and some dinosaurs) and provide evidence mammals developed from reptiles,

Biogeography, the study of the distribution of living things. e.g. Darwin described 14 species of finches on the Galapagos and Cocos Islands. He believed they had all had a common ancestor, but had evolved differently to adapt to different foods and diets available in different regions. They were similar in colour, nests and eggs but varied in body sizes and beaks (good for opening different foods)

Comparative anatomy is the study of the structures that have the same basic plan (homologous structures) but perform different functions. This demonstrates common ancestry. e.g. Most land vertebrate show a similar basic pattern in the bones of their limbs, believed to be inherited from their ancestor the lobe-finned fish. This is called the pentadactyl (5-digit) limb.

Comparative embryology is the study of embryos of different organisms- looking for similarities between them. there are similarities between embryos of different vertebrate species which suggest common ancestry, and all chordates possess pharyngeal (throat) gill pouches at some time in their development.

Biochemistry is the study of the molecules in organisms allowing for close comparisons between them. Studies of a wide range of animals have found that many have similar molecules, giving further evidence of common ancestry.

DNA hybridisation where DNA from two organisms is split and put together. If the fit is close they are genetically close, and have a high degree of hybridisation, but if they dont fit together well they have a low amount of dna hybridisation, and are much further apart genetically.

And they are just a few examples of evidence leading to evolution. Based on observation and scientific testing.

Thats a pretty large amount of evidence i'd say.

This is a totally inappropriate question in a science forum and you have been reported.
Nothing anyone here can say to you will make any difference as you have already been completely brainwashed - how stupid is it for anyone to actually believe that "100's of detailed prophecies that have come true down to the smallest detail" - just for one of the many completely ridiculous and unscientific statements you make. Get back to church and leave the rest of us alone.

If you believe that God created the universe and created man then you must also believe that God gave man the ability to find out how he created the universe. Just because the bible says six days means nothing as elapsed time differs with speed. Reference time in space shuttle for verification. The closer you get to the speed of light the slower time passes. Therefore must have been traveling pretty darn fast to pack a few million years evolution in six days.

Evolution has left numerous signs of the histories of different species. Fossils, along with the comparative anatomy of present-day organisms, constitute the morphological, or anatomical, record. By comparing the anatomies of both modern and extinct species, paleontologists can infer the lineages of those species.

The development of molecular genetics, and particularly of DNA sequencing, has allowed biologists to study the record of evolution left in organisms' genetic structures. The degrees of similarity and difference in the DNA sequences of modern species allows geneticists to reconstruct their lineages. It is from DNA sequence comparisons that figures such as the 96% genotypic similarity between humans and chimpanzees are obtained.[38][39]

Other evidence used to demonstrate evolutionary lineages includes the geographical distribution of species. For instance, monotremes and most marsupials are found only in Australia, showing that their common ancestor with placental mammals lived before the submerging of the ancient land bridge between Australia and Asia.

Scientists correlate all of the above evidence, drawn from paleontology, anatomy, genetics, and geography, with other information about the history of Earth. For instance, paleoclimatology attests to periodic ice ages during which the world's climate was much cooler, and these are often found to match up with the spread of species which are better-equipped to deal with the cold, such as the woolly mammoth.

Evolution is a fact of life and has been proven and is accepted worldwide.

Out of all of the thousands of religions that have come and gone throughout the history of civilization the only reason why many people accept the Bible is because countries that had large populations of christians were able to conquer more lands than other countries.

You fail to understand. Evolution has not been proven it has been supported and has never been disproven. You also fail to understand that the bible and evolution can infact coincide. Evolution is the answer to how god is the answer to why.
