I liked the movie the first and second times I saw it.

Eventually, I realized just how melodramatic and cliched that movie is.

rastabudd...my overrated movie list IS pages and pages long. Still, "A Few Good Men" is overrated.

I don't think so. It is certainly getting more hype than it deserves, yes, but at the time, we all seemed to like it. I just think it's a stretch to say to put it with other grossly overrated films. But it's one of those movies we still talk about after ten years. Say what you will about Tom Cruise, but he's involved in so many films like this.

True...but if you start giving bad ratings to movies because they are "melodramatic and cliched", your overrated movie list will be pages and pages in length.

Then stop watching movies since you probably won't like them. Of course it's melodramatic--most 80's and early 90's movies were. So stop complaining about a movie that came out 10+ years ago.

I liked it; sure, a lot of the dialog was trite , but it got the movie where it was going so it was fine; further, since these guys WERE guilty, there was no surprise pulling their fat completely out of the fire, and I appreciated that about it. Jack did a good job as Jessup too.
