Im a Republican because I believe in Personal Responsibility and not Big Government. It all has to do with your views and where you stand on certain interests here is a good site to tell you what you are. Not what you think you are...

Depends. Generally it's this: Democrat= Personal Freedom, Republican= Economic Freedom but there are times I like to be more moderate or even 3rd way, depending on the issue. I think both parties are the same under different labels (this is coming from a registered Democrat) but they both have some people that have good ideas (which are usually the minority wing of a party and don't get the attention they deserve). Thanks!

I used to be a Republican, but the Republican Party has abandoned its principles of limited government and leaving people alone. Since the Democrats don't believe that anyone should be allowed to make money in this country or have anything resembling freedom of choice on anything outside of the uterus, I can never ally myself with that band of Socialists.

Right now, I disagree with both. Why can't someone come out with a party that believes in protecting the citizens of the United States and when war is necessary they get in, kick some butt and get out; who spends less money more wisely therefore decreasing the amount of taxes coming out of my check; who develops programs where every capable person works and earns their own money (therefore spending less of mine); who requires people to pay into social security before they can benefit from it; and who believes in protecting the environment and our natural resources? Now that would be something worth voting for!!

Neither.
The positions of both parties are, unfortunately, not guided by the greater good, but by the positions of the special interests that fund the parties and their candidates.
