first your going to need a these items:
A.) several books of matches
b.) A large supply of sticks/chopped wood
c.) a can of lighter fluid.
d.) a shovel
e.) a Dr. Pepper for fun ;)

first dig a hole thats about seven inches deep and three feet across. then put a layer of sticks on the bottom of the hole. then apply the lighter fluid. Next, build a triangular shape out of bigger sticks. apply lighter fluid again. then more lighter fluid. Next drop the a book of matches on each side. take another book, and light them all. then after if dies down a bit(not likely within an hour) put the Dr. Pepper in and back up. but if you want it to be safe don't do the dr pepper. unless you can get like twenty feet away. then enjoy the show.
don't forget stuff to put it out if necessarry!

Make sure it is a big backyard and don't build it under any over hanging tree limbs. No wind, have a working water hose at the ready. Try to use "clean" scrap wood...nothing with solvents present.

Put a lot of small little sticks in the middle, then ones as thick as your thumb, and increase the size a bit and then take long, large branches and prop them up making a teepee shape.

Throw lighter fluid (NEVER GASOLINE) on it and light it on several sides.

You need a lot of wood, though.

AND HAVE A WATER HOSE READY! WET THE GROUND AROUND THE FIRE BEFORE YOU BEGIN! MAKE SURE THERE IS NOT A BURN BAN!

Get a bunch of large rocks and make a fire pit. Then dig a foot deep hole in the middle of the fire pit circle. Make sure you don't burn tires and your pile of wood is about five feet from your fire.

Two gallons of gas and three spare tires...

then call the fire department and have really long sticks to roast your marshmallows...

That just sounds like a really bad idea.

you use more fuel/burning material than you would use for a smaller fire
