No you dont need a college degree to own a business -- you just need to learn about running a business including taxes, management, sales, marketing, customer service, etc.

Starting a successful business will require you to do research on your local market as well as many other things.

Though you do not need a degree to pursue a business.

If you do sufficient research and put together a well thought out business plan you'll have no problem getting investors if you can demonstrate how you business will make money over the years.

I don't think so. I think you would want to go to get some background knowledge and have a better sense of what you are getting into if you don't have a clue on how to run a business. i think people would better help you if you had one but i don't think it's a requirement if you want to own your own business.
